If the party who picked up Mrs. Emma Ruckel's handbag contain- ing some change and some dresses will call at her house she will be glad to give them the belts that go with the dresses . - It was kind of George Hatch and his girl friend , Dorothy Buehler , to drive way up to Little Pt . Sable from Chicago , bringing Mrs. George W. Landis and Mrs. Belcher to live on the crest of a mighty cliff where the sea- scape is unlimited and the ozone is more so . On the tenth of July his father and mother will come and on the 26th of July , Mrs. Wm . Speer Landis and her husband . - Down the steep hill and across the glen Beverly Plumb , who is more than half past eleven , takes little lessons in geography and exploration with her cousin , Margaret Norton , a half mile or more from the steps of the LeGard cottage . - When you get to Hart you should look up Bright's drug store where the serving of ice cream in flavorous varieties is conducted with elegance and decorum at eight sociable little tables ; and if you are in too much of a hurry to be seated there is a marble fountain where you can eat your soda on the run . Whitman's and Bunte's summer candies . Home made ice cream and a big chocolate soda . - Bonnar Brown , who brown- ed his childhood at the Point , now becomes a Ph . D. at Leland Stan- ford University and holds up his 3 months old boy so his grandma , Mrs. Berger , can call herself a great grandmother , and she is pretty spry at that . - Well , well , well W. F. Mulvihill created an epidemie of wells at the Little Point when he flagged the well man and had him put down a drinking spout on the hill a few years back . All along the ridge avenue the neighbors flagged Paul Schroeder to drive a cylindrical steel mustard plaster in their back yards . But now Mr. Mulvihill's well has a college education and is subject to remote con- trol and button suggestions . In a rockerless crib or a bassinet or a latticed play pen son Donald's baby flatly lay and laughed up at his mother Ruth . You will want to take your annual bath on the 4th of July so come in and get a bathing suit , 50c up : some hoys ' polo shirts at 25e up : men's polo shirts , 50c : summer dress pants , $ 1.00

Howard , Howard , listen to this one : there is a Mr. Steen staying at Silver Lake and he runs a Steen's Super Service in Dayton , Ohio . At the Wolf den you will find him measuring pickerel with Jake Gerber , licking ice with Robert Cultice ( what kind of a cult is that ? Maybe an Eskimo cult . ) WANTED : A FEW ROWBOATS . Yet , isn't that a Scotch name ? Maybe I will have to call in Mr. Collin to settle the point . He shaves with an Irish razor that has a keen sense of humor . - Does anyone need a housemaid this summer to work at a lakeside cottage ? We have on our employment wanted list a Hart high school junior , 18 years old , and a Shelby high school girl , 18 , who would like positions at housework at $ 4 a week . If you need one , inquire of The Mears Newz and we will put you in touch with the young ladies at once.- -When your trousers get unshapely bring them to our steam pressing depart- ment and we will restore their shapeliness . HIGH SUMMER

The roses bloom , the furnace fires are out ; The frenzied haste is gone

With which we earned our coal And carried it to feed the blaze . These are the happy days

To gaze upon some heart - string goal So long desired , yet sadly put away In treasure chests of sacred lace . ' Tis time to climb the attic stairs And dust the silvered vase

Of cherished dreams . ' Tis time to plan New ventures on the untried road . To journey out beyond the dried abode Of tracks and ruts too long been trod , There is a lane of stalwart trees

Up in the hills with God !
