So the Claybanks creamery picnic came to Stony Lake Wednesday with Earl Friday umpiring the ball game . Burl Butlled had to have about 5 extra clerks in his store . Prices are going up in some lines . It costs more this year to get into the County Fair because the attractions cost more and there is an increase in the amount of premiums , so the admission charge is raised a dime . Adult admissions will be 35c this year and 25c for a vehicle . Last year it was 25c and 15c . Childrens ' admissions and grand stand entering fees will be the same as last year . Beatrice Bourelle is a genial waiter in Billy Gray's who brings on the sandwiches . Her side - kick is named Ann . - Forest Harding and family were guests at the Wambaugh cottage at Silver Lake . Huesma and Mrs. Benjamin March are the best of summer friends in Pentwater , and their 8 - year - old children , Bobby Huesma and Judy March , have worn a friendly path across lots be- tween the two cottages . He was 27 years old and leaves a wife . who was formerly Frances Berktold , also two children , Raymond , Jr .. 3 years old , and Marlene Joyce , 3 months old . Harold and Madonna Shaw have arrived from Arizona to visit the Pentwater Shaws and Flaggs . - Elmer Fuller was 29 years old when he went to the dedica- ⚫tion picnic at Crystal Dam , and he never dreamed that he would never come home alive . Were they having rifle practice at the picnic , or what ? At any rate someone laid a rifle on a table and it accident- ally discharged into a crowd and Elmer was fatally shot in the abdo- men .
