He was 85 years old having been born in Sweden , he came to America when he was nineteen years old . With his father he worked in the tannery at Whitehall . In 1872 he was married to Miss Anna Olsen and they came to West Golden in 1871. Mrs. Edlund died nearly forty years ago and he later married Mrs. Gina Olson About 28 years ago Mr. Edlund retired from active farming leaving his chil- dren , John and Mary , in the old farmhouse while he made his home at a cottage near Juniper Beach . Mr. Edlund was a member of the Swedish Mission church . He leaves 3 sons , Charles , the baggage man

at the Union depot in Muskegon ; John , who runs the farm ; and Chris of Jackson , and also three daughters , Mrs. Oxel Anderson of West Gol- den : Mrs. Olaf Hallberg of Kalamazoo ; and Mary at home on ' the farm . Burial was at the Round Lake cemetery Sunday , services being held at West Golden church . Mr. Edlund had a host of friends who sympathize with his beloved wife who lives to tend the flowers inside the garden on the hill . - Clarence Babbitt has secured license to marry Hazel Hart . L. J. Rittenhouse has a license to marry Katherine Negake ,
